The Inaugural DRIP
In 2024, ColorBlock Films started running a porn shorts festival exclusively for LGBTQIA+ adult filmmakers named DRIP. We’re back for second year under the new name DRIP!

This year, we have the pleasure of collaborating with Hit Me Up NYC – A curated community for poly and kink folks. We have expanded to a 2-Day event, featuring multiple screenings and an after party. This expanded festival is now called DRIP. Our goal is to include double the amount of films, while also increasing the rate of compensation we provide filmmakers to $100 per film.
Increasing Access
In 2024, ColorBlock Films, an independent QTBIPOC-owned porn company, hosted the first DRIP Porn Film Festival. There were 2 separate lineups, during which we screened 20 short adult films all from Queer & Trans filmmakers. The curated selection ranged in style and message, but common themes included: Trans pleasure, humor and playfulness, sex worker stories, and personal exploration through sexuality.
DRIP 2024 was honored to receive 15 donations from community partners, including: Hit Me Up, Pleasure Chest, Sliquid, Shag, Callen Lorde, The Toolbox Collective, Purple Passion/DV8, Bluestockings Collective, AORTA Films, 7 Days Of Domination, and four independent artists (@kazzer.lee, @asadcomic, @nyxnocturne, @broadcastlevel). Proceeds from these raffle items brought in over $700.
DRIP 2024 sold out two screenings with a total capacity of 150, with an additional waiting list for tickets. Ticket sales from the 1-Day festival were over $3,500. Our selected filmmakers were paid out a combined $1,000 in screening fees. Funds earned from the event were used to hire porn performers in 2024 for ColorBlock Films’ performances.
We’re definitely still thirsty, but we want to encourage folks to quench their thirst by checking out @thirst.strip: A New York City Queer Strip Night. Their work highlighting LGBTQ+ performers in New York City over the last few years continues to leave its mark!
With our name shift, we want to make sure that folks know about spaces that have existed, not cause confusion around the replication of the name, and build up even more excitement for DRIP!
